Chris Murdoch – Chairman, 4B Healthcare

Chris and family have been in India since Jan 2010 supporting several new initiatives. Chris leads the Strategy Services department of Opportunity International Australia. He was Associate Partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Global Business Services and led its business strategy practice in Australia and New Zealand prior to joining Opportunity International Australia. He has over 10 years’ consultancy experience in strategy development and implementation, and was a leader in the application of high technology to the road transport industry. Chris is a major source of support 4B Healthcare in providing strategic direction, engineering the growth of 4B Healthcare in addition to developing investor linkages.

Varghese Philip – Managing Director

VP qualified as a surgeon from CMC Vellore and went on to pioneer a hospital for the tribal people of Orissa along with few a other friends and families. VP and family were in Orissa for a decade helping establish a community based healthcare, literacy and agriculture programs. He went on to do his masters at the London School of Economics and later joined the Emmanuel Hospital Association as its Medical Secretary. EHA has a network of 20 hospitals in the North of India. Later on he was appointed as the Executive Director of EHA. He left EHA to explore alternative ways of making medical missions relevant to the present day India.

Dr. Vinod Shah, Director

Vinod is one of the most admired and sought after leaders in Healthcare in India. He has mentored several generations of doctors. He is a pediatric surgeon trained at CMC Vellore. He pioneered a hospital in Gujarat and then went on to head the Emmanuel Hospital Association with a chain of 20 hospitals. Vinod currently works as the Head of DIstance Education, CMC Vellore where he has developed an innovative program to train Family Physicians. This program has been well received by NRHM and various state governments as a training tool for their doctors. Vinod is nominated as the General Secretary of the International Christian Medical and Dental Association.

Dr. Sunil Chandy, Advisor

Dr. Sunil Chandy is currently the Professor and Head of the department of Cardiology at CMC Vellore. He has many years of experience in interventional cardiology both in India and abroad. He trains physicians and cardiologists. Sunil has keen interest in research and has published important papers in national and international journals. He has been the principal investigator for several clinical trials. He is an able administrator and has shouldered several administrative responsibilities at CMC.
